Transgenerational Trauma ~ Chapter 3

Transgenerational trauma is a poem about intergenerational trauma. The term has different names but I chose to stick with transgenerational trauma. This poem is about the trauma that our ancestors have passed onto us. Mental health is a stigma within the Black Community and I am working on ending that stigma. Our ancestors never went to therapy or they weren't able to go to therapy to heal from the multiple years of systematic oppression and racism that they've faced. I encourage everyone who reads this blog to go to therapy to heal from the things that you don't speak out about. I encourage males to quit the toxic masculinity and know that it is okay to not be okay to feel whatever emotions you need to.
